How to measure for a dog collar?
The easiest way to measure for a dog collar is to use a cloth measuring tape - this way you can get the most accurate measurement as the tape is flexible and not uncomfortable for your dog. Wrap the measuring tape around the circumfrance of your dog's neck, making sure the tape is snug but not too tight. With this measurement we recommend to always add 2 inches for the best collar size - you can always tighten the collar if needed but it's better that it is not too tight on their neck. Repeat this a couple of times to ensure you are getting the right measurements - you can always give your dog a treat whilst doing this to keep them distracted. Shop our full range of dog collars to find the right one for your pup.

What is the best dog harness?
The best dog harness depends on the type of dog you have. If you have a small dog that is easy to control then a simple, everyday walking harness will be best. Whereas if you have a larger dog that is heavier and tends to pull more, an anti-pull harness or more sturdy harness will be best. Browse through our full collection of dog harnesses to see which one is right for you.

How to stop a dog from pulling on leash?
The best way to stop your dog from pulling on their leash is to lead train them using a training lead and a no-pull harness. The combination of these things will help you to get more control over your dog on walks and aid you in training them to stop pulling. The easiest way to enforce this is to teach your dog that walking next to you with a loose lead means that they get to move forward and pulling means that they don't. When walking your dog, pay attention to when the lead starts to tighten, when this happens, stop walking and stand still. Do not move forward again until the lead is slack - the best lead for this is either a training lead or a slip lead, retractable leads will not work to train them but are a good option if you don't want your dog to pull but want them to roam freely. Make sure that you reward your dog with tasty treats during lead training to encourage them to keep going with the good behaviour.
